Just a reminder to international readers and in particular those close to the Los Angeles California USA area, Siggraph 2001 is happening 12-17 August 2001. Siggraph 2001 is the 28th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques.
Siggraph will be showcasing the most extraordinary work from computer graphics scientists, artists, engineers, educators, and computer graphics enthusiasts from around the world. The conference focuses on innovative ideas about science, education, games, special effects, medicine, the internet, and just about any conceivable application of computer graphics and interactive techniques.

ANTHONY MINGHELLA and JOHN SEALE will talk in great depth about the importance of a close collaboration between both the director and cinematographer during all stages of film production.
