A look at the SMIL 2.0 Recommendation put forward by the W3C last month. The proposed language, SMIL (pronounced “smile”) would allow control of time-based media within HTML documents. It does this by synchronising & scheduling the playing of media/multimedia within HTML ::: www.w3.org/TR/1998/REC-smil-19980615 and www.w3.org/AudioVideo where SMIL players can be downloaded.
